The Timken is a great little museum with old masters, some American paintings and Russian Icons. Admission is free, usually no line unless we are having a special exhibit.

Sunday picnic near the Balboa Park Atrium
Our 1,200 acre center-city Balboa Park is the oldest site in the United States dedicated to public recreational usage. The Spanish look and feel comes from development for the 1915 Exposition celebrating completion of the Panama Canal. The Botanical Atrium is at the parks center.
Thousands of people enjoyed Balboa on Sunday. The Weather Channel called it “abundant sunshine”, a perfect day in San Diego. In addition to the pictures our two hour walk clocked 6,000 steps on the pedometers.
